# Add Article schema for posts

Article markup describes editorial content with headline, image, datePublished, dateModified and author. Use BlogPosting for posts and Article as the generic type. Dates must be ISO 8601 with timezone, and the author should link to a real bio page. Never mark up listing pages as Article.

## Prerequisites

- A post template
- Author pages and publish dates in the CMS

## Steps

1. **Map CMS fields to Article properties** — Use the post title for headline, the featured image for image, and ISO timestamps for datePublished and dateModified. Link the author to their bio page.
Check: The JSON-LD contains headline, image, datePublished, dateModified and author.url.
2. **Emit the block per post** — Render one Article or BlogPosting block from the post template with the canonical URL in mainEntityOfPage. Do not emit it on listing pages.
Check: A post page contains one Article block; the blog index contains none.
3. **Validate and monitor** — Run the Rich Results Test on two posts and check the Article enhancement report for errors after template changes.
Check: Both posts validate with no errors and the enhancement report shows no new issues.
