# Add original data or first-hand expertise

Original data and first-hand experience are the hardest parts of E-E-A-T to fake. Publish test results, benchmarks, screenshots or interviews, state sample size and date range, and cite primary sources. Update the data when it changes and keep past versions verifiable.

## Prerequisites

- Access to real data or first-hand experience
- An editorial review process

## Steps

1. **Choose a question you can answer with data** *(general best practice)* — Pick a question customers ask that requires access you have: account benchmarks, product tests, support ticket patterns. Define the method before collecting.
Check: A written method exists with sample size, date range and inclusion criteria.
2. **Publish the evidence** — Present results in tables or charts with units, note limitations, and link primary sources. Attribute the work to a named author with credentials.
Check: The page states sample size, date range, method and author, and every statistic has a source or a method note.
3. **Keep it current and archive it** *(general best practice)* — Update the dataset when conditions change and keep an archive of previous versions with dates so readers can verify claims over time.
Check: The page links to at least one dated previous version and shows the current data date.
