Audit and fix what AI engines say about your brand
Query each AI assistant about what the brand does, who it serves, its pricing and integrations, then diff every answer against a current fact sheet. Correct each wrong claim at its origin: update or redirect stale pages on your own site, fix G2, Capterra and directory profiles, and ask publishers to amend third-party articles.
Why this matters
Ask each AI engine what your brand does and costs, then correct every wrong claim where it originated.
Before you start
- Access to the AI assistants you want to audit
- A current fact sheet covering what the brand does, its audience, pricing and integrations
- Login access to your G2, Capterra and other directory profiles
How to apply it
Query each AI engine about the brand
Run the same four-part prompt in every engine you want to audit and save each answer verbatim with the engine name and date.
Check: One saved answer per engine that covers what the brand does, who it is for, cost and integrations.
Diff the answers against your fact sheet
Paste the saved answers into Claude together with a short fact sheet of what is true today, and ask for every wrong or out-of-date claim plus the source each engine cited.
Check: Output lists each wrong claim next to the URL the engine cited for it.
Bucket each wrong claim by who owns the cited source
For every flagged claim, open the cited URL and mark it as either your own domain or a third party. This decides which fix path you take.
Check: Each wrong claim has one cited URL and a bucket label (own site or third party).
Fix claims sourced from your own site
Where the engine cited your own domain, update the page or redirect it to the current one. Typical culprits are old pricing pages, stale blog posts and pages for features you have dropped.
Check: The cited URL returns 200 with corrected copy, or a 301 to the current page.
Correct third-party listings
Where the claim sits on a profile you control, update your G2, Capterra and directory listings so pricing, features and integrations match the fact sheet.
Check: Each directory profile shows the current pricing and feature set.
Ask publishers to correct their articles
For articles you do not control, contact the author or editor with the specific wrong claim, the correct fact and a link to your fact sheet.
Check: The article shows the corrected claim, or you have a written reply confirming the fix.
Re-run the engine queries to confirm General best practice
Repeat the original prompt in each engine after the fixes are live and compare the new answers with the first run.
Check: The previously wrong claim no longer appears in the engine's answer.
This happens outside your codebase
Work through the steps above on the named site or dashboard, then record the result in your agent session. There is no repository edit for this tip.
