Build an AI entity-association benchmark for your brand

List every entity an AI model could name for your business — the brand, products, named features, invented metrics and the people — then write the descriptors you want attached to each, such as cheap, for agencies or AI-powered. That list becomes the benchmark for checking how AI assistants describe you.

Before you start

  • A list of the brand, product, feature, metric and people names used publicly

How to apply it

  1. List every nameable entity

Write down the brand and every product name, named feature, invented metric and public person such as founders or the face of the YouTube channel.

Check: The list has an entry for the brand, each public product or feature, each invented metric and each named person the site promotes.

  2. Write the target descriptors

Next to each entity, write the short words you want an AI model to associate with it, for example cheap, for agencies or AI-powered. Keep each descriptor specific and checkable.

Check: Every entity has one to three short descriptors written beside it.

  3. Capture a dated baseline General best practice

General best practice: ask an AI assistant open questions about each entity, save the answers verbatim with the date and the assistant used, and note which entities and descriptors actually appear.

Check: The saved baseline has one dated answer per entity and at least one listed descriptor is recorded as present or absent.

  4. Mark gaps against the target General best practice

Compare each baseline answer with the target descriptors and label every entity as aligned, missing or wrong. General best practice: use the gaps to brief page copy, profiles or public descriptions that state the wanted associations.

Check: The benchmark has a status column with at least one aligned, missing or wrong entry for every entity.
